The Piobaireachd Society recommends the following lists of set tunes for competition in 2007
A. SENIOR COMPETITION
1. Scarce of Fishing PS 3 & K
2. The Red Speckled Bull PS 4 & K
3. Lament For Hugh PS 13
4. Good Health to You Donald PS 13
5. Lament for the Duke of Hamilton PS 3 & K
6. The Bells of Perth PS 2
Competitors will require to submit Four tunes from the above list, one of which they will be required to play.
B. GOLD MEDAL COMPETITION
1. Lady Margaret MacDonald’s Salute PS 3 & K
2. Lachlan MacNeill Campbell’s Fancy PS 8 & K
3. Prince’s Salute PS 1 & K
4. Lament for Donald Duaghal MacKay PS 13 & K
5. Lord Lovat’s Lament PS 9 & K
6. MacNeill of Barra’s March PS 10
7. Battle of Waternish PS 2 & K
8. Rory MacLeod’s Lament PS 11
Competitors will require to submit Four tunes from the above list, one of which they will be required to play.
C. SILVER MEDAL COMPETITION
1. MacGregor’s Salute PS 10
2. Parading of the MacDonalds PS 7 & K
3. Castle Menzies PS 8
4. The Bicker PS 4 & K
5. Lament for the Viscount Dundee PS 1 & K
6. The Groat PS 1 & K
7. Lament for MacSwan of Roaig PS 1 & K
8. MacLeod of Raasay’s Salute PS 8 & K
Competitors will require to submit Four tunes from the above list, one of which they will be required to play.
PS = Piobaireachd Society Collection. K = Kilberry Book of Ceol Mor
Competitors are not restricted to the settings or styles in the books mentioned above, and may play any other
setting or style, provided that the judges may take into consideration the authenticity and merits of the setting
or style submitted.
Competitors are advised to give advance notice to the judges should they intend to play settings or styles not
contained in the Piobaireachd Society Collection or the Kilberry Book.
Altogether different tunes known by the same or similar names will not be accepted as alternatives.

to any arrangements made by either the Argyllshire Gathering or the Northern Meeting.
